History of the company

Created in 1982, the company GRAV’OR was born from the imagination of Dominique BOUCLY, a businesswoman, and artist. She chose to extend her first workshops at 14, rue Arnold DOLMETSCH in the town of Le Mans. She thus starts her business into the transformation of glass and its various types of decoration.

During the 90s, Grav’Or becomes the partner of interior designers and decorators, taking part in the strong development of Western Paris, through numerous construction projects. Grav’Or produces glass partition for La Défense buildings, but also in multiple prestigious places all over France. Our savoir faire has grown to include a variety of highly skilled decorative techniques such as deep engraving, roughening and gilding.

On 20 January 2014, Isabelle RATISKOL takes over the company, attracted by this ever-evolving material. Her development strategy is based on the perpetual updating of glass working methods, new collections, and strong research and development.

Grav’Or is now best known for its expertise in producing custom made glass pieces and mirrors for interior fittings. Its in-house Artistic team collaborates with architects, designers, specifiers, and decorators to develop unique glass products (partitions and doors, wall coverings, furniture, shower cubicles, mirrors, floor tiles, railings, signage).

Our job is to bring the glass to life, thanks to the magic play of light and shadows provided by engraving, sandblasting, and lacquering.

Our Precious materials, handcrafted textures have known great success and used in multiple projects around the world.
